Mt. Hood Meadows Opens Tomorrow And Timberline Already Open
Tomorrow Mt Hood Meadows will join Timberline in the 2020/2021-ski season. The time has come for Mt Hood Meadows fans, as the resort will open starting tomorrow, Monday November 30th. This year a few things will be different than other years like having to wear masks in all areas, lifts will be socially distanced and tickets and equipment rentals will need to be done in advanced online to help keep everyone safe.
Mt Hood Meadows has said that the first few days will only be available to season pass holders as it will allow them to figure out the “flow and volume” of riders before they start offering day tickets to others.
Like Mt Hood Meadows, Timberline will also be requiring tickets to be purchased in advanced online. Other things that should be noted for those skiing or snowboarding at Timberline is that in the lodge you won’t be able to eat. You will only be able to come in and grab what you want like and take it to your car to eat.
Another thing that Timberline and Mt Hood Meadows have in common is that both resorts will offer limited hours and skiing days for those that don’t have a season pass. For non-season pass holders, you will have to plan in advance on which days you want to go skiing as both requiring reservations in advance. Unfortunately this year if you don’t have a season pass, you won’t be able to wake and check weather conditions and decide to go up to the mountain.
With these changes for the upcoming ski season, some things will be inconvenient but at least we have the great opportunity to still hit the slopes during the unprecedented times.
